Fort Hunt Preschool hosts a range of fundraising, training, and educational events. Please visit this page to find out what is going on at FHP, particularly as we gear up for our 50th Anniversary in 2012. Unless otherwise indicated, all events take place at Fort Hunt Preschool, 1909 Windmill Lane, Alexandria 22307.
Childhood Development Seminar: Dr. Diaz on DisciplineWednesday, February 22, 7pm Dr. Rolando Diaz, a pediatric psychologist specializing in developmental issues, will be speaking about behavior management and discipline in preschool children. Keeping in mind that each child is different, we will together consider broad approaches to dealing with children's behavior at home and at school. We will also explore determining when behavior is truly problematic and requires specialized intervention. Cost is $10/person; $15/couple. Please RSVP to the Education Policy Chair. 
Spring Rummage SaleSaturday, March 24, 2012, 8am-12pm The FHP Kids Rummage Sale features high-quality used infants', children's and maternity gear, including clothing, toys, games, books and furniture. There will also be some great household bargains on linens, kitchenware and decorative/seasonal items, etc. The sale will be held, rain or shine. |
