A Nature-rich, Play-based Cooperative Preschool

We are currently accepting applications for new students for the 2021-2022 school year!
Applications will be considered in the order received.

Please see the Admissions page for more information.

Fort Hunt Preschool is pleased to announce our new Spring 2021 weekly camp series for children ages 3-5! The camps will be held outdoors, 4 days a week, from 9:15-Noon, with COVID-19 mitigation measures in place (e.g. daily health checks, masks, handwashing, etc.). Camps will be taught by our fully vaccinated FHP staff.  More information is available in the Spring Camp FAQs document and on the Admissions Page.

UPDATE:  All sessions of Camp are currently full. Due to popular demand we have added one final week of Camp for the week of May 10-13, 2021. We are currently offering spots available to families on the waitlist in order of priority (currently enrolled FHP families, FHP alumni, new families. etc.).  We will continue to maintain a waitlist and will reach out to families if and when a spot becomes available.

Please contact camps@forthuntpreschool.com for questions about the waitlist and availability.

We are a community of families who believe that children learn best in a safe, nurturing environment, supported by a cooperative partnership of parents and teachers. Through personal experience, discovery, and play, we cultivate children's natural curiosity and foster respect for self, others, and the natural world. We have classes for two, three and four year old children in a natural, historic setting on Mason Hill, just 3 miles South of Old Town Alexandria.
